Concept for an advertising campaign for a European Portuguese language program.  The target audience is people (not gender-specific), ages 18 – 80+, who are native English speakers. The customer is motivated to learn Portuguese for travel and leisure reasons.

The idea for this campaign came when I was trying to learn conversational Portuguese in preparation for a trip to the Azores. My husband told me a funny story about a time he was eating soup prepared by his tia and he complimented her on the delicious ladies in the soup. Of course, he meant to say carrots, but the two different words are very similar to the English ear. 

This gave me the idea for the contrast, confusion, and ultimately, comedy that can occur when what you intend to say is totally different from what they actually hear.
